Job Title: LAME B1 & B2 (PNS)
Department: Aircraft Maintenance
Location: Brisbane Hanger
Status: Full time, PNS
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Direct reports: Nil
The Role
The LAME is responsible to the Senior LAME for certification of maintenance work performed in accordance with the system of Certification specified in Engineering Manual Suite Volume 1.
The Department

We aim to provide aircraft maintenance services at 'value for money' prices whilst recognising the need to deliver a return for our shareholders and owners.
Virgin Tech:
To provide a safe, efficient and cost-effective aircraft maintenance solution to Virgin Australia's immediate and future aircraft maintenance needs, through:
a professional relationship with CASA;
being a customer focused maintenance provider;
new work practices in the provision of aircraft maintenance;
the establishment of a "best practice" suite of manuals together with the creation and maintenance of robust systems to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
Understanding that its primary focus is the provision of maintenance to Virgin Australia, seek to gain third party customers.

Expertise
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Must Have:
Appropriately qualified and approved LAME
Ability to advise the Senior LAME on day-to-day issues regarding quality issues
Competent computer skills
Good organisational skills
Valid State Drivers Licence
Working knowledge of OH&S and Environment requirements
A reasonable grasp of spoken and written English
Extensive industry experience in either a Line or Heavy Maintenance role
Experience in providing good customer service practise within the working environment
Supervisory experience
Thorough understanding of the CASA airworthiness/regulatory requirements
Great to Have:
Qualified First Aider
Confined Space Entry
Level 3 APAM drivers Licence
Radio Operators Certificate
Elevated Work Platform certificate
Safety Auditor training
Training Qualifications
Have a sound understanding of MSG and ETOPS/RVSM maintenance philosophies
Broad understanding of the FAA and JAA airworthiness requirements
