The Cabin Crew role within Pacific Blue, International Airline of Virgin Australia involves providing a highly polished degree of onboard service and Guest care in line with our service promise and brand values while ensuring all safety and service procedures are followed. Our Cabin Crew are smart, professional and polished and ensure that they provide the height of service and comfort to all of our guests to ensure that their journey is a memorable one.
You will be part of an enthusiastic and stylish team performing international short haul duties for Pacific Blue. The role is hard work at high altitude in a pressurised cabin for hours on end and time zone changes can be quite exhausting. Overall, the role of Cabin Crew is physically demanding, so you must be in excellent health.
You must be able to work flexible hours over a 24 hour period, working weekdays, weekends and even public holidays. Keep in mind these rotating shift hours can disrupt your personal life and you could be away from home several nights a month. On the flip side, it's an exciting opportunity to travel the world with some new friends.
In order to be eligible to apply for International Cabin Crew, you must meet the below minimum criteria.
Minimum Criteria:
Minimum 18 years of age
A New Zealand or Australian citizen or permanent resident
A competent level of English both written and spoken is required
Passport holder with at least 12 months currency
A current First Aid Certificate. This MUST be NZQA approved
If applicable, be able to relocate to your selected home base (Auckland or Christchurch) at your own expense
Face-to-face customer service experience
Availability to work a rotating roster over 7 days, including weekends, weekdays and over a 24hr period
Swim 50 metres unaided
Additional Skills, Qualities and Attributes:
Punctual, reliable, hardworking
Enthusiastic and happy
Excellent grooming and personal presentation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Assessment Day - This is an opportunity for our Recruitment Team to assess your application face to face. This will include various forms of assessment
Following the Assessment Day you may be progressed to further stages of our recruitment process including at least 2 professional reference checks and a medical assessment. If progressed to a medical assessment you will be given the details of a designated medical centre that Virgin Australia uses to make an appointment. Please note: If you are progressed to the medical stage of our recruitment process you will be required to pay for this at your own cost which is approximately $200 to $250.
