Sales Manager - Corporate
Job Details
JOB PURPOSE:
To provide leadership on a strategic and commercial level for sales team.
To strategically develop and deliver sales revenue targets in designated area, maximising the return from existing market whilst identifying and penetrating business development opportunities.
JOB DIMENSIONS:
Drive sales performance in designated territory through the implementation of a sales strategy across a portfolio of TMC / corporate customers maximising revenue contribution to exceed revenue targets.
Utilises advanced selling techniques and account management / solution selling to optimise / maximise network share and revenue
Create business plans to maximise most cost effective channels of fulfilment for sales.
Ensures that all accounts in assigned portfolio are properly planned / developed to ensure revenue / share objectives
Solicits new and existing accounts to meet and/or exceed revenue goals through a combination of field sales visits, email and telephone solicitation. (20-30 sales visits per week)
Follows up and closes on leads / business opportunities generated by sales visits
Builds and maintains strong relationships with partners in the airline industry.
Drive Sales revenue through managing diary to maximise time spent in and out of the office based on strategic sales requirement for KFA
Responsible for completing any relevant administrative office based duties / assignment whilst managing field based sales activities visibly and efficiently
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Manages sales activity through development and performance measurement of account portfolio; managing against clear revenue, cost of sale and compliance criteria in association with HR, Finance & Admin and line manager
Structures and implements a business and marketing plan to optimise KFA revenue and presence in the UK market.
Develops and maintains long-term strategic relationships with KFA TMC / corporate clients
Accountable for the formulation and implementation of sales strategies to maximise short and long term revenue opportunities, reduce cost of sale and generate share shift where appropriate.
Reviews sales data with team to drive revenue and seek out tactical revenue opportunities.
Manages and co-ordinates projects and initiatives on behalf of UK Sales
Enforces and maintains sales professionalism standards
Communicate internally the performance of all sales channels on a regular basis at sales meetings
Engage with marketing team to develop appropriate market communications activity including but not limited to – sponsorships, exhibitions, advertising
Engage with pricing manager to implement appropriate fares in to the market and implement a profitable and equitable distribution strategy
Regularly communicates with Global Sales / Direct sales at HQ
Responsible for departmental cost control in the areas of travel and representation – suggest cost saving measures as appropriate
Build credibility and personal authority as part of UK management team
Performs other related functions, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Provide recommended solutions / waivers on all ADM/ACM issues as required
Submit sales call plan and post sales reports in a timely manner in line with line manager requirements
Ensure submission of T and E expense statements in line KFA local UK finance practice
ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES:
Educational Qualifications:
Educated to degree level
PC literate with knowledge of word/power point/excel
Experience:
Commercial acumen. Able to spot and interpret market trends
Track record of implementing change
Track record of revenue delivery
Proven team leadership
5 years airline sales experience in a developed market environment
