About Us

Preliminary Design team in Bangalore is actively engaged in developing the cycle model for engine performance studies for almost all next generation commercial applications. Once the cycle model is established, team performs design space and numerous cycle design analysis to select the best cycle for an application. The different data packages and plot packages are then generated to provide data to design community and external customers.

Essential Responsibilities
 • Development of Gas Turbine cycle model for steady/transient performance prediction
• Design Space analysis using the Cycle model to optimize the engine performance within the constraints. Cycle analysis and performance data package generation for designers and customer.
• Analyze the test data and perform data reduction to refine the cycle model to represent test result or isolate the cause of any unexpected behavior
• Understanding of components’ performance characteristic maps and their representation in cycle model
• Will deal with substantial number of charts, tables and formulae that provide not only trends and the form of relationship, but also a database for design purposes
• Work involve system integration / individual component performance models
• Communicate results, findings and observations in clear and concise documents (presentations, reports, memos, technical articles) to peers and program leader in formal/informal design reviews
Qualifications/Requirements • BE / BTech / ME / MTech / PhD. in Mechanical Engineering
• Programming Skills is a must - FORTRAN/ C/ C++.
• 1-2 years of experience
• Very good Gas Turbine fundamentals / understanding
• Component design experience in the field of turbo-machinery.

• Design and analysis work related to thermal power plants
• Lean Six Sigma GB certified with passion for technology
• Exposure to performance codes like NPSS
• Significant Problem solving ability
• Effective multitasking and ability to deliver on time and with quality
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams
