Virgin Atlantic to create 500 airline jobs

Virgin Atlantic has announced that it is looking to fill 500 new airline jobs to meet expansion demands.

The airline is planning to expand its fleet this year and the airline jobs will help ensure operations continue to run smoothly. The new roles will be based at London Heathrow and Gatwick Airports and the airline staff will work on the new routes to Cancun and Vancouver as well as other locations.

It is understood the airline jobs will typically be for roles on long-haul flights which also include New York, Las Vegas, Barbados and Shanghai.

Corneel Koster, director of operations, safety and security for Virgin Atlantic, told the Press Association, "It is an exciting year of growth and investment for Virgin Atlantic as we look forward to expanding our network and welcoming a new fleet of aircraft.”

Koster added, "The new roles have been created to support our new destinations of Cancun and Vancouver, a second rotation on our San Francisco route and also our new A330-300 aircraft of which we take delivery of seven later in the year."

Virgin Atlantic also recently announced that it will expand its Upper Class, following an investment of over £100 million. It is understood that this project could create even more airline jobs with the company.

Nice! Everyone would love to work on Gatwick and in the UK. IT is one of the most progressive countries in the whole world. My Fleet maintenance software staff would like to apply on that.
