Position Description    Saudi Aramco seeks a flight pilot with experience in training to work as a Training Captain in the Aviation Department. Successful candidate will conduct formal training for pilots/flight crews in the operation of the Company’s aircrafts and systems and instruct them in Company/foreign government rules and regulations that apply to company flights.
Minimum Requirements    - BA/BS Degree. Federal Aviation Administration Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with required ratings. Federal Aviation Administration Certified Flight Instructor Certificate for airplanes and instruments, or military background as flight instructor is desirable. FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- A minimum of 5,500 hours of total flight time and 8 years active flying experience.
- Must hold FAA Type Rating on assigned aircraft and have experience in aircraft with maximum takeoff weights in excess of 60,000 lbs.
- Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate issued by the U.S. FAA to operate single and multi engine aircraft. Prior command time on B-737, ERJ-170/190 or G550 proficient within the past 12 months.
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of flight procedures, radio procedures, navigation, weather and geography of the Middle East. Must be acquainted with the laws and regulations pertaining to flight clearances, air freight, and passengers internationally.
- Excellent command of written and oral English.
- Licenses required: ATP / CFI / CFII
Duties & Responsibilities    - Evaluates the proficiency and qualifications of pilots/flight crews by accompanying them on periodic flights, notes performance, compliance or infringement of Company, Government or United States Federal Aviation Administration regulations or procedures by flight crews. Compiles reports of findings in accordance with established procedures.
- Instructs crews in Company rules and regulations as well as foreign government regulations which apply in the course of Company flights.
- Conducts formal training for applicable pilots/flight crews in the operation of aircraft and its systems. Conducts reviews of subjects such as aircraft systems, emergency procedures, international and national regulations and Company procedures.
- Provides constant evaluation of crew qualification and proficiency including tests and checks involving crew coordination, instrument flight proficiency, normal and emergency procedures, long-range navigation, cruise control and techniques required during extended international operations.
- Maintains crew qualification and proficiency records in accordance with established procedures. Develops new procedures as necessary to provide adequate evaluation.
- Pilots Company airplanes as Pilot-In-Command when required to meet flight schedules and maintain flight proficiency.
- Designs and implements schedules, and conducts ground and flight training programs.
- Evaluates existing procedures, manuals, and operational policies to assure currency and accuracy.
- At the discretion of the Chief Pilot, the Training Captain will assume the duties of the Fleet Captain when Chief Pilot is on business trips, vacation or otherwise unable to perform their duties.
- Provides Fleet Manager assistance in the management of administrative areas and assists in the implementation of emerging technology.
